Meow meet Karissa! Karissa is a beautiful long haired tuxedo girl with incredibly soft fur and a quiet, gentle personality. She found herself at the rescue after she was left behind by her owner who was evicted and moved out of state. And while that was a big change, Karissa is slowly discovering that there are still good things waiting for her. She is friendly, calm, and enjoys being petted and brushed. She doesn’t mind other cats and would be happy to quietly share her space. Karissa can come across as a bit aloof at first, but she’s really just taking everything in and getting comfortable with her new surroundings. Give her a little time for her sweet personality to shine through. She would do wonderfully in a peaceful home where she can settle in at her own pace. Older, respectful children would be fine, and she could make a lovely companion for a senior or anyone looking for a quiet, gentle cat to share their days with. Karissa may be quiet, but there is a gentle sweetness in her that is easy to fall for once you take the time to notice it. She has been through a change she never asked for, yet she is still willing to trust and slowly finding her way. We hope someone will give this beautiful girl the time to settle in and the chance to discover that she hasn’t lost her place in the world - she simply hasn’t found her new place yet!
