Foster or Forever Needed!   Roxie is a beautiful 48 pound pittie girl who has completely stolen our hearts. She will be 6 years old on October 6th, and we think this girl deserves a pretty darn special birthday present: a foster home to help her get healthy, or maybe even a forever family to celebrate all her birthdays with. Roxie has lived with two other pups and has been a wonderful little housemate. She walks nicely on a leash, has a lovely personality, and she is incredibly gentle when taking cookies. She is just a sweet, easygoing girl who is happy to be loved. Unfortunately, Roxie came to us with quite a few medical issues that needed immediate attention. At the vet this week, we spent $721.15 on her exam, tests, bloodwork, meds, vaccinations, and everything else she needed. She has a skin infection, a UTI, an ear infection, a heart murmur, thyroid issues, and dental problems. The good news is that she is heartworm negative, which we were very happy to hear! Once she is feeling a bit healthier, we will get her scheduled for her spay. And ultimately, Roxie needs a foster or forever home of her own.
