Meet lovely little Mari, born at the shelter at the end of June.Mari has recently been introduced to new buddy Michel and they are becoming good company for one another.Chinchillas are active and live at least 10 to 15 years.They thrive in a large, multi tier wire cage, and love to munch on hay, chinchilla pellets and chews to help their growing teeth.These little characters, are social but can be a bit on the timid side. They like a cool, draft free area, and require a dust bath at least 3 times a week to help keep their coat clean.If a chinchilla seems like your match, please visit them in adoption hours, Monday to Saturday between 10 and 4 or call VAS at 905-832-2281 or email animal.services@vaughan.ca
