Meow meet Moonpie! He is a handsome boy with a heart as sweet as his name. He was adopted from the rescue as a young kitty and spent years knowing what it meant to have a family, a home, and someone of his own to love. Sadly, his owner recently passed away, and family members were unable to keep him. Through no fault of his own, Moonpie is now facing a life change he never saw coming. He is sweet, gentle, affectionate, and loves being petted. Moonpie has a wonderfully loyal personality that is almost dog-like - the kind of companion who wants to be near his people. He is good with cats, dogs, and kids and absolutely loves cat nip. Right now, Moonpie is grieving. He lost the person and home he knew, and everything around him now is unfamiliar. He asks for a little extra patience and grace while he settles in and figures out he is safe and loved. Moonpie has spent his life knowing what it feels like to belong to someone. We hope his next family will give him the time and kindness to find his footing, and then show him that losing one home doesn’t mean he has lost his chance at being deeply loved again!
