 Meet Tip Toe — a silly, sweet Beagle looking for his forever home!  Tip Toe is an absolutely delightful guy who is always up to something. He loves toys of all kinds—stuffed toys, balls, bones, Kongs—you name it, he wants to investigate it! He’s even been known to stockpile his favorites, sometimes carrying two toys in his mouth at once.  When he’s ready to relax, Tip Toe loves curling up on the couch or bed and being squished right between his people. He also loves belly rubs, gentle pets, being talked or sung to, and a little good-natured roughhousing. When relaxation mode ends, though, watch out for the zoomies! He gets them multiple times a day, both inside and outside. Tip Toe loves being near his people, but he also has an independent streak. He enjoys exploring the yard, sniffing for squirrels, investigating the toy basket, and generally making sure nothing interesting is happening without him. He especially loves walks where he can stop and sniff all the new smells. And yes… he has recently discovered his Beagle voice! So far, we’ve heard his impressive bay when we come home but haven’t let him out of his crate yet while our resident dog is barking, and when he spotted and smelled a squirrel on a walk and his mean foster mom refused to drop the leash so he could give chase. Tip Toe does not have experience with cats. He may be okay with a dog-savvy cat, but because he may have a prey drive, adopters with cats should be prepared to introduce them carefully. He is still working on potty training and has done some marking in his foster home, so his forever family will need to continue working with him on that. If you’re considering Tip Toe, please do a little research on Beagles first! He definitely displays some classic Beagle traits: when the nose is on, the ears are OFF; he may pull when following an interesting scent; he can be stubborn; he has a strong opinion about things; and he is very enthusiastic about food. But that’s all part of what makes him Tip Toe. He is incredibly charming, affectionate, hilarious, and sweet, and he keeps his foster family laughing every day. We think Tip Toe would make a fantastic lake-house buddy, camping companion, road-trip co-pilot, kids’ sporting-event sidekick, walking buddy, couch cuddler, and all-around family dog. If you’re looking for a fun-loving Beagle who will keep life interesting and fill your home with laughter, Tip Toe might just be your guy. ❤️ Tip Toe is ready to find his forever family! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
