This pup will be available to meet starting on 10/3Meet Bub!We need to start with Bub’s official paperwork, because somewhere along the way, the original shelter looked at this short-legged little potato and said, “Yep. Rottweiler mix.”And listen…we see the eyebrows. We’ll give them the eyebrows. Beyond that? We have questions.Bub is an absolutely adorable lowrider with short, stubby legs, tiny expressive eyebrows, the sweetest worried-looking eyes, and ridiculously soft fur. He’s carrying a few extra pounds at the moment, which only adds to his current potato-like appearance, but he could benefit from shedding a little weight.His foster family’s review of him was pretty straightforward: “Amazing. We love Bub!!!!!”And it’s easy to see why.Bub is incredibly sweet, easygoing, and fully potty trained. He gets along great with the other dog in his foster home and has shown no reactivity toward other dogs. Even when dogs walk past, Bub seems completely unbothered. Apparently he has more important things to worry about—like whether you have treats and why you’ve stopped petting his exceptionally soft fur.He happily accepts treats, loves affection, and overall seems to be a wonderfully laid-back little guy who is just happy to be included.If you’re looking for a sweet, stubby-legged best friend with magnificent eyebrows, worried little eyes, and the general physique of a furry footstool, Bub would very much like to meet you.Rottweiler? Debatable.Absolutely adorable? We have significantly more evidence for that. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He has tested positive for Heartworms. Treatement is covered by the rescue at one of our partner vets.Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by using the link in their approval email.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees are non refundable once a pet is taken home.  Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up in Colorado, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances delaying pick up. Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
