Franny is a sweet 30-pound girl with a beautiful black coat, adorable big ears, and a heart of gold. She can be a little shy when she’s faced with new people or unfamiliar situations, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality really shines.Franny is house trained, leash trained, and great with other dogs. She especially loves playing with her younger foster dog and would be happy to have a playful canine companion in her forever home. She also loves going for walks, getting lots of affection, and—of course—eating! This sweet girl is still building her confidence. New situations can be a little scary for her, and when she’s frightened she may lay down or even have an accident, especially if someone tries to pick her up. She has already made wonderful progress since arriving in her foster home, though, and she continues to gain confidence every day. She’s a little shy with new people but is very sweet, wags her tail, and enjoys being petted once she knows you’re safe.Franny does not love being left alone and may whine or howl when first crated, so she would do best with a family who can be patient as she learns that being alone is okay. Because of this, an apartment may not be the best fit unless someone is home with her often.She has a medium energy level and isn’t destructive, although like any young dog she occasionally thinks a sock makes a great toy! She is still getting used to walks and can be nervous when cars pass by, but she is already doing much better than when she first arrived.Franny has been a wonderful foster and is described as incredibly sweet. She does well at the vet and is just looking for someone who will give her the time, patience, love, and encouragement she needs to become her most confident self. Franny’s experience with cats is unknown, although her foster feels her gentle personality may allow her to do well with them with proper introductions.If you’re looking for a loving girl who may need a little extra patience at first but has so much sweetness to give, Franny may be your girl!
