IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Angel   Has one of the best stories since we started our Rescue.   Angel was found by a couple in a very rural area when she was only seven or eight days old and weighed only a pound or two - against all odds she survived as they brought her to their vet and stabilized her until she was six weeks old   The couple who found her love her so much, but they had not intended on keeping her. They just wanted to save her life.   We’re really trying to help Angel get into a new home! She’d be happy to be somebody’s only dog, (although she has lived as a foster with other dogs)   Angel baby photo will be added to this thread - but even now at about 14 months old, she’s not a big dog about 38 pounds full grown.   She’s definitely a mix of Mini breeds, but looks so much like a Dutch Shepherd - her coloring, her brindle - and it’s hard to tell in photos but she does not have a large head or chest like a pit might.   We’re sure she has Australian Cattle Dog or Heeler breed mixed in with her; she likes to know who is where in the house. She’s not an active herder but many similarities.    Angel is very praise- driven as well as treat/food motivated. She will not try and take another dog food and isn’t crazy about another dog taking hers   Angel is so sweet, cuddly and lovable - we rarely get dogs where we believe that they will be happy as the only dog, but since that house was how she was the first year of her life we think that would make her the happiest.   If a person or a couple with a large male dog is interested then that would be a good application as well.   Angela is good with being left during the day; her Foster works a few days a week for long hours and Angel knows how to use the doggie door. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.
