Izzy

Description

Izzy is a very special girl who needs a loving and understanding home.  She is a 3 1/2 year old Golden Retriever.   Her owner got her from a shelter when she was a puppy.  Her owner wasn't fond of her and then got really mad when she showed signs of food aggression.   We got her out of that situation but 3.5 years is a long time to live with someone who doesn't really like you.   Izzy does have food aggression with humans and other dogs but it is something that we are working on with a trainer.  She needs a new home without kids and possibly no other dogs.   She also currently has Lyme disease that will make her sore and uncomfortable and maybe a little grumpy.  We are looking for a foster home or a new forever home that understands a dog with food aggression and can help us train her that she will never be denied a meal.  S he is a beautiful girl and very friendly when not around food.  She deserves a second chance from her rough beginnings.  If you would like to meet her please fill out an application from our website.
