If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Meet Ernest: The International Man of Mystery... and Hisss-tery. ​You might look at my dashing, tuxedo-clad photo (I call this look "Intense Curiosity," or perhaps "I Am Calculating Your Expiry Date") and think, "Oh, what a darling kitty." And you'd be correct. But I am also a complex artist, and my primary medium is the "hiss." ​My past is, shall we say, a classic film noir. I was found with my brothers, a band of abandoned runaways, outside a shady hotel. We were underweight, flea-infested, and generally unhappy with our accommodations. The streets? They were a 0/10; would not recommend. ​Since then, some VERY persistent humans have taken me in, cleaned me up, and are feeding me regular meals (this part, I admit, is excellent). But trust? That’s earned, my friends. And right now, I don't trust anyone who can't lick their own paw. ​My Stats: ​Age: Approx DOB 6/9/2026 (A gentleman doesn't reveal his age, but the vet says I am a young, spry man-about-town). ​Breed: Fancy Tuxedo Domestic Shorthair (A classic for a reason). ​Special Talent: The multi-layered "Hiss." I can do "I’m unsure," "I’m not interested," and my personal favorite, "I am a lion in a tuxedo." ​Relationship Status: "It’s Complicated." I am looking for a partner who understands boundaries. I’m not saying "never" to pets, I’m saying "apply with extreme caution and patience." ​Hobbies: Staring from dark corners, evaluating your life choices, and occasionally, when the moon is right, sleeping in a little ball that makes the humans say "awww" (at their own peril). ​I am currently a unique, non-canine resident of Heidi’s Legacy Dog Rescue. This is not my normal habitat, and I intend to keep everyone on their toes. But even a cool, independent operatic hiss-ter like me needs a place to call his own. ​I am looking for an extraordinary human—someone who understands that trust is a process, not a state. A home that is calm and doesn't expect instant cuddles. Think of me as a long-term investment: high risk, high reward.
