We spent time with them apart and saw how much happier and more confident they are side by side. At Loyal Rescue, their happiness and well-being guide every decision we make. For these two sisters, that means finding a forever home together. New people and experiences can feel a little overwhelming for her, and she’s learning to trust at her own pace. A calm, gentle introduction would help her feel comfortable. Origin: Mass breeding facility  Requirements: A fenced yard, someone home part of the day to reinforce potty training, children over 12 years old who are dog savvy, mill dog experience an asset   And now, a few words from me: You have to see me run in the backyard! My foster mom laughs and says I look like an emu. I’m not sure what an emu is, but I do know I love being outside. There are so many things to smell, places to explore and reasons to wag my tail! I’m discovering lots of new things. Toys are a favourite, and I love trotting around with a ball or stuffie in my mouth. I’m also learning to trust my foster mom and sometimes let her pick me up. New experiences can feel a little scary at first, but I’m curious and I keep trying. My foster mom is proud that I use the yard for my potty breaks and a pee pad if I can’t quite hold it. Popcorn and I hope to find a family who will give us time to settle in and discover how wonderful life can be. We’ll be worth the wait!   And now, a few words from my foster mom: Pennie is a sweet little girl whose personality shines when she’s outside. She runs with the biggest smile, tail wagging, then checks to see where you’re going. Head towards the house and she’ll be right behind you. After spending her first years in a puppy mill, Pennie is still learning to feel comfortable with people. She likes being near us in the house, even though being picked up can make her unsure. There is one adorable exception: when she wants to join the other dogs on the couch, she lets me give her a lift! She gets along well with other dogs and would welcome more furry friends. Pennie needs a securely fenced yard where she can enjoy her favourite pastime: running freely. She’s still learning to walk on a leash and will do best with a patient family who lets her build confidence at her own pace. Having Popcorn by her side helps her feel secure. We gave the sisters time apart and saw how much better they do together, so their forever home must be one they share. If you have room in your home and heart for these two sisters, you’ll get the special joy of watching Pennie relax, grow in confidence and show you more of her lovely self.
