Description

This handsome boy knows he’s cute, and he certainly doesn’t mind when everyone else knows it, too! Silas loves being the center of attention and is always happy to be pampered, show off his handsome face for a photo shoot, or prove just how smart he is. He knows sit, stay, down, off, come, no, okay and shake, and he does his very best to be a well-mannered boy! Silas is playful and active, but he is also perfectly happy to match your energy and spend some time lounging around. He loves chew toys and bones, enjoys going for car rides (where he will happily fall right asleep!), and is always up for some fun. He is friendly, affectionate and wonderfully wiggly, with plenty of personality to keep you smiling. Silas has done well with children and loves to be playful and rambunctious with them, while n he means well, he may be too much energy for some small children. He is very playful with other dogs and loves to run and wrestle with his canine friends. We are happy to provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! He is curious about cats but has never chased one and generally seems content to ignore them. Silas can be a little shy with men at first, but he warms up with time and has been very friendly with women. As always, introductions to new animals and people should be taken slowly. Silas is an indoor dog who is accustomed to a home routine. He is crate trained, knows how to let you know when he needs to go outside, and will whine at the door when it is potty time. He is also very easy to handle overall. Baths aren’t his favorite thing in the world and he gets pretty wiggly when water is involved, but he is otherwise happy to receive pets and attention. With his smarts, playful spirit, affectionate personality and undeniable handsomeness, Silas is ready to find someone who will appreciate all the wonderful things that make him Silas!
