Meet Twila — a tiny black panther with a BIG personality! With her sleek, solid-black coat, gorgeous green eyes, and an impressive collection of kitten antics, Twila is basically a pocket-sized panther who has decided that being adorable is a full-time job. She and her sister Vada were found outside all alone with their brother, Buford, and brought to a local shelter before transferring into the care of Animal Rescue of the Rockies. These days, Twila has traded outdoor adventures for sunny windows, cardboard boxes, and a very full social calendar.Twila is highly social, affectionate, curious, and endlessly entertaining. She is the kind of kitten who doesn't believe personal space is a necessary concept. If she wants to be near you, she'll find a way — including scaling a pant leg to reach a shoulder for some quality hangout time! Once she's in your arms, it doesn't take much to activate the purr setting.And then there's her fiesty foodie side. Warm, unseasoned shredded chicken or a little plain turkey lunch meat can turn Twila into a tiny culinary enthusiast with places to go and snacks to investigate. She's also convinced that absolutely everything is a potential toy. Boxes? Obviously. Crumpled paper? Treasure. A shoe? Fascinating. Anything that moves? MUST. BE. POUNCED. ON.Twila is exceptionally animated and curious, with the kind of amusing little mannerisms that make you laugh just by watching her exist. One minute she's tumbling through the house with her sister, and the next she's curled up beside Vada in a box or stretched out in a sunny spot like she has worked a very long shift at the kitten factory.Twila's ideal home: She would love a home with at least one other animal companion, preferably another friendly feline who is willing to participate in her kitten shenanigans. She hasn't had much experience with dogs but would likely warm up to a respectful, patient dog with proper introductions. Twila does wonderfully with gentle, supervised children and currently lives with an 8-year-old girl who absolutely adores her.If you're looking for a kitten who will keep you laughing, provide endless entertainment, happily accept affection, and turn an ordinary cardboard box into a five-act theatrical production, Twila may be your girl. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $350 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $225 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $225 for kittens (6 months & under)    $150 for cats (older than 6 months)    $100 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
