Meet Vada — part kitten, part comedian, part tiny black panther! Vada is a sleek little beauty wrapped in a solid-black coat with striking green eyes — but don't let her sophisticated panther look fool you. Inside that elegant exterior is an affection-loving, food-motivated, wildly curious little goofball who is determined to make every day more interesting.Vada and her sister Twila were found outside alone with their brother, Buford, and brought to a local shelter. The siblings were then transferred into the care of a foster with Animal Rescue of the Rockies, where Vada has been busy discovering all the important things in life: boxes, toys, sunbeams, snacks, laps, shoulders, and anything whatsoever that happens to move.Vada is extremely social and people-oriented. She loves attention and actively seeks out human affection — sometimes with the subtlety of a kitten climbing straight up a pant leg in an effort to reach your shoulder. Being held? Excellent. Getting cuddles? Even better. Getting held while purring? Absolutely. Her purr setting is remarkably easy to activate.She's alpso seriously food motivated, and warm, unseasoned shredded chicken or plain turkey lunch meat can unleash her inner little food critic. But food isn't the only thing that gets her excited. Vada is fascinated by new objects and has a talent for turning everyday household items into premium kitten entertainment. A crumpled piece of paper can be thrilling. A cardboard box with a few holes becomes an adventure zone. A shoe? Worth investigating. Toys? YES, PLEASE.There is never a dull moment with Vada around. She's playful, animated, curious, and full of hilarious little mannerisms that will have you wondering how such a tiny creature can generate so much personality. When she's not wrestling and tumbling around with Twila, she's perfectly happy snuggling up with her sister in a box or soaking up the sunshine.Vada's ideal home: She would thrive in a home with at least one other animal companion — preferably a feline friend who can keep up with her kitten energy and give her plenty of opportunities for play. She hasn't spent much time around dogs, but she would likely warm up to a friendly, respectful dog with patient introductions. She does well with gentle, supervised children and currently lives with an 8-year-old girl who absolutely adores her and gets endless joy and amusement from her antics.Vada would be happiest with people who appreciate an affectionate kitten, enjoy a little chaos, and understand that a cardboard box is sometimes more exciting than any toy money can buy. If you're looking for a loving little entertainer with a serious purr and a talent for turning ordinary moments into adventures, Vada is ready for her starring role. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $350 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $225 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $225 for kittens (6 months & under)    $150 for cats (older than 6 months)    $100 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
