Rue

Description

Rue is a silly sweet redhead kinda beagle. Not really a standard tricolor - more mahogany and chocolate. She’s got loads of personality as you can probably tell from her pictures. Shy and subdued is NOT her M.O. Instead she is extroverted, very affectionate and full of things to say in the beagle dialect... and she will occasionally sing a little song for you. Rue is quite playful with other dogs but respectful of cats. She's doing great with house training in her foster home and learned quickly to use the dog door to go out to a fenced yard. She's okay with being crated when her family is away from home and sleeps at night either in a dog bed or on the sofa. Although she is very food motivated, she eats her meals at a reasonable pace and doesn't show any resource guarding with either food or toys. Her leash walking skills are above average, although she does get extremely interested in squirrels, and Rue is an excellent car passenger. One of Rue's extravagances is pilfering articles of clothing - socks, slippers, shoes, t-shirts - to carry around and put in her bed, but she doesn't tear them up. This lovely girl is blessedly heartworm negative and she is ready for a sleepover!
