Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!  Blaze is a beautiful calm and quiet Aussie border collie mix Who would be perfect for a single person who wants a buddy by His or her Side. Blaze came from the tiny town of Tulia, Texas Where he had been at their impound and shelter a few weeks. He’s so gentle and quiet he was prioritized to be kept alive to wait for the right Rescue group; They don’t do adoptions directly. As soon as I saw him I fell in love with his extremely unique markings and gentle looking face. He rarely barks And he gets along with all of the dogs, both of mine and Foster dogs that have come in and out for a night or two. Blaze is really ready for a forever home with someone, compassionate and patient. He’s just been living indoors for the past month and will need time for a lease training and other group activities. Right now he’d be the ideal Companion for a home with or without another dog and he shows no prey drive as far as cats. Blaze is very gentle, but doesn’t seem like he would be very fun for children. Blaze is housebroken, he does not need a crate, is very affectionate with people he knows and just calm and quiet with new faces. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.
