Description

Bobo is currently in a foster home. If you’re interested in meeting him, please give us a call to schedule an appointment so we can coordinate with his foster family!Bobo has been with us for over a month now, making him one of our longest residents. While we’ve loved getting to know him, shelter life has started to wear on this sweet boy. He’s more than ready for a home of his own where he can finally settle in, relax, and be loved the way he deserves. Bobo came to us because he was a little too big and active for his previous senior owner, but don’t let his size fool you—this gentle giant has a soft heart and a willingness to learn that is truly special. He takes treats with the gentlest touch, responds beautifully to redirection, and genuinely enjoys training. With a little structure and continued guidance, Bobo is going to thrive. He will need time and patience! He is potty trained, keeps his space nice and tidy, and knows cues like “sit” and “down.” He may even be crate trained, as he settles nicely in his kennel and seems to appreciate having a cozy, safe space of his own. While he doesn’t particularly enjoy being left alone, he has remained on his best behavior when his foster family is away from home. Bobo is a strong boy who is still polishing up his leash manners, so he’ll do best with an owner who is both confident and patient. He’s been doing wonderfully with a front-clip harness and is currently learning “wait” through positive reinforcement. He’s already making impressive progress! Personality-wise, Bobo is the perfect blend of sweet and silly. He’s been friendly with everyone he’s met, loves making new friends, and has a way of winning people over with his soft eyes and goofy charm. Bobo has limited experience with other animals and can feel overwhelmed in busy dog environments. While he has not shown aggressive behaviors, he does lack some social skills and will often bark during dog meet-and-greets. He will benefit from slow, thoughtful introductions and continued positive experiences as he builds confidence. This is not a process that will happen overnight! During his time in our care, Bobo has bravely embraced all kinds of new adventures—from car rides and trail walks to agility-style activities. He may still be figuring things out, but he’s never afraid to give something new a try, which says so much about his character! Bobo will do best in a home that can provide positive outlets for both his physical and mental energy. He has loved having access to a yard where he can romp and play, and he recently discovered a favorite toy that he proudly carries around wherever he goes. Bobo is truly such a good boy—loyal, loving, and full of potential. He’s ready to give his whole heart to someone. Now he just needs someone willing to give him a chance.
