Foster location: new london Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio:  Meet Clementine  Sometimes the dogs who are the easiest to overlook are the ones who need someone to notice them the most. ❤️ Clementine is about 6 months old and maybe some kind of Shepherd/smaller Terrier mix… but your guess is honestly as good as ours. What we do know is how this little girl found her way to us. Clementine came from a small shelter that most people will never hear about. They do everything they can, but they simply don't have the resources or space to keep up with the number of dogs coming through their doors. Every couple of weeks, dogs still waiting there are at risk of being euthanized simply because there isn't anywhere for them to go. Our amazing rescue partner sent us a video of the dogs currently there, and among all the puppies was one tiny, shut-down girl tucked into the corner.  We immediately said, "Her. We want her."Thankfully, our partner was able to find Clementine a temporary foster until she could make her way to Wisconsin. When she left the shelter, she weighed just 9 pounds. We were told the other dogs would push her away from the food and wouldn't share with her. By the time she finally reached us, our little orange had filled out to a whopping 15 pounds — and she's SOLID!  Now we're working on healing the things you can't see on a scale. Clementine is very fearful of people. Her first instinct is to freeze and look for somewhere to hide. But little by little, she's figuring out that hands can be gentle and people can be safe. She's beginning to accept pets, and every tiny bit of trust she gives us feels HUGE. She had a great start with her amazing Louisiana foster family! Now if you put her with another dog and suddenly you get a glimpse of the 6-month-old puppy that's been hiding underneath all that fear.  Her confidence comes alive, she follows their lead, and she starts realizing maybe this whole family thing isn't so scary after all.Because of that, another confident dog in her forever home is a MUST. She needs that canine buddy to show her the ropes and help her continue finding her brave. Shes good with cats too they are just boring and not as fun to play with.  Needs a patient family willing to let her blossom at her own pace Clementine isn't going to walk into your house on day one and act like you've been best friends forever. She's going to make you earn it. But watching a scared little puppy learn that she's finally safe? That's the kind of relationship that's worth earning. She spent enough of her puppyhood trying to disappear into a corner. Now it's Clementine's turn to be chosen. Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823.
