Meet Mama Temperance Brennan aka Mama Tempe! Mama Tempe came to us as a very pregnant stray from Bemidji and just a few days later, she had her puppies, the “bones” litter. Her puppies have all since found their forever homes and now it’s Mama’s turn. Mama Tempe is estimated to be around 3 years old and while we really aren’t sure what breeds make up this pretty girl, we do know she’s 100% adorable. Mama is an incredibly sweet, cuddly girl who loves affection and being close to her people. She also does well with other dogs and has been such a lovely girl to have in foster care. Unfortunately, Tempe’s journey hasn’t been simple. A few months after coming into rescue, she tested positive for lymes, anaplasmosis, and heartworm. She has spent the last couple of months working through treatment and resting. Her next round of heartworm treatment scheduled for the end of this month. She’s been through pregnancy, raising her babies, and months of medical care, but through all of it, she has remained the sweetest girl. Her Bones babies got their happy endings. Now we think it’s Mama Tempe’s turn.
