A SHY GIRL WHO'S BLOSSOMING: Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 14 lbs. Hi, I'm Virginia! I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a new home. I was adopted for a couple of weeks, but it wasn't a good fit, so I'm back with Mostly Mutts looking for my new family. I hope to meet them very soon and start living a great life together!  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met dogs at Mostly Mutts and have made a great friend or two that are around my age and size, and we just love playing together in the MM play yard. I however didn't like the energy of a puppy, so if you have a friendly playful dog at home perhaps around my age and size, let's meet! / Cats unknown. / Best no kids. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: The shelter is a lot for me to take in but I'm doing my best! I like it when the volunteers take things slowly with me and let me get to know them—then I'm just a love. I really enjoy my trainer and like spending time with her—she's a good leader. Speaking of a good leader, that's what I would like. Please don't treat me like a baby and carry me around as I love being a dog and want to be part of the whole family! I showed guarding behaviors of my person in the home of my temporary adoptive family while being carried. My trainer has worked with me on this, so just ask about that please and they will be very happy to share successful strategies for managing guarding behavior. I think I would be happiest in a calm and low traffic home without a lot of visitors. / Energy level: 3-5 at the shelter, but I think it will increase once I'm settled in my new home.     • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning a lot with my trainer! Check back soon to see what I've learned and let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / I'm doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts and slept well in it at my former home in their bedroom at night. They said that it seemed to be my decompression place—so I liked it. / I'm working on my potty manners, so I'll need my family to help me finish this training up.    • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love belly rubs and gentle head scratches! I also really enjoy when people talk gently and give me a little extra time to get to know them. Once I'm comfortable with you, I love following my people around and being close by. I'm sure we'll discover lots more things we like doing together in our new home! / Being rushed scares me, so just give me some time, and like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I needed a dental cleaning and thankfully, Mostly Mutts has done that for me.   I'm a little sweetie looking for a wonderful family that will help me continue to blossom! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.
