Hi, my name is Pete! I’m a 4-year-old Beagle mix weighing 41 pounds, but if you really get to know me, you’ll quickly understand why they call me Sweet Pete! I may be 4 years old, but once I get going, I have a whole lot of energy and act just like a pup! I’m almost completely house trained, but I may need a little patience and encouragement as I continue learning.  I came from a not so good situation but I am learning to trust my humans.  I just need some time!  With lots of positive encouragement, I’m learning that my crate can be a cozy place to sleep. I’m also used to having someone around during the day since one of my humans works from home and was able to let me out regularly.I absolutely love playing with other dogs and would be happy to have some furry friends! Because of my energy and the things I’m still learning, a home with small children may not be the best fit for me. I could also use a little help with my leash manners, but I’m a smart guy and eager to learn!I already know tricks like sit, and if you have a treat in your hand, I’m working really hard on mastering lay down!   I am up to date on my vaccines and neutered!I’m looking for someone who will be patient with me, encourage me, and help me work through the things I’m still learning.
