Watch this video of sweet Ernie purring and getting some love from his foster mom! I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Ernie, and I am a cute little guy! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be myself.  What the Shelter Says About Me: Ernie is an unusual boy with a bob tail and a spotted front right arm. We think his bob tail is natural since his brother (Ely) also has a shorter tail. When Ernie first came into our rescue's care, he was standoffish to strangers and lept off our photo table. We thought he was more shy than his two siblings but given a few weeks to warm up, Earnie became the condo doorman - greeting us and inviting petting. (There is a sibling like that in every family, right, a little slower to dive in and more studious about situations.) While he doesn't ask to be picked up, Ernie is ok with it and will reciprocate your pats with head bumps and rolling over and over inviting more. He said ok to modeling for photos and this is what we got. Ernie says he just needs time to make his own decisions...don't we all! What My Foster Says About Me: Ernie hid in my closet for the first five days I had him. On the sixth day, he saw his brother getting head scratches and wanted some too and that is how his walls came down. He looooves head and chin scratches. He loves to hold hands or if you want to leave he'll hold your hand as if to say "No human, please more haad scratchies." He is truly adorable. He is a respectful boy and was able to become friends with my girl cats who are very picky. He respects boundaries well (of other pets). He also is able to keep himself occupied with toys. He loves small fuzzy toys and likes to bring me his conquered prey to examine. His favorite toy last week was a spring that makes a siren like noise. This week it's a tiny rainbow fuzzy snake. He does not like to be picked up but he likes to lay against me and purr. His meows are really adorable. He likes to watch cat tv with his brother. He is not a picky eater. He likes to slow blink at me to reassure me that everything is going to be ok when I'm having a stressful day. After two weeks, he has really warmed up and I am enjoying getting to know him more. He can be a little jumpy if you approach really fast but once comfortable he has so much love to give.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for adult cats is $200 ($350 for two cats adopted together).
