Description

At approximately 10 years old, this Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix came to us struggling to walk. During a thorough examination, our veterinary team discovered severe abnormalities affecting nearly every joint in his legs. His wrists cannot bend or straighten, his knees are permanently bent, and movement in his elbows and ankles is severely restricted.X-rays revealed extensive changes to the bones surrounding these joints. While the exact cause remains uncertain, the damage is severe and most likely irreversible. He has been started on pain medication to help keep him comfortable, but unfortunately, his prognosis is poor. Even with treatment, we cannot reasonably expect him to regain the mobility and comfort he deserves. Humane euthanasia has been recommended and is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, September 24, 2026.
