Cowboy (FCID# 06/01/2026 - 85) DC

Description

"I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me, And what can be the use of him is more than I can see..." My mother used to recite that to me as I followed her from the basement to the kitchen to the mailbox, and when she sat down, I climbed into her lap.   I now find myself reciting that to 6-month old Cowboy who insists on following me everywhere: "helps" me make the bed, supervises the scooping of litter, and climbs onto my lap when I sit down.  But don't for one minute think that Cowboy is a total momma's boy.  His favorite game is fetch.  Unfortunately, I was not able to get a picture of him with his stuffed cloud and rainbow toy - he looks quite fierce carrying that around.  He will bring that to me so that I will throw it and he can catch it over and over and over.  I wake up with that toy next to me in bed.     When not herding his toys, Cowboy tries to hang out with the "big" kids.  Only my three-year old will play with him.  Although the 3 year-old is twice his size, Cowboy goes one-on-one in wrestling matches with him.  The older cats tell him to "Beat it, squirt," so he does.    Cowboy will do best in a home that has another young cat or dog that will play with him as well as playful humans.   He will do well with older children.   Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Neal Ann S.)
