Aurora (A142187) is a 9-month-old German Shepherd x Lab mix who weighed 55.8 pounds on intake! 09/22/26 Aurora is back at the shelter due to no fault of her own. While in their care, Aurora was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate dog. She was known to pull on the leash, but has been doing really well walking on a harness! Aurora was also said to be housebroken, but did have a couple accidents as she settled into her new home. She was said to be quite vocal while in a kennel and still needs work with kennel training. Oddly, her surrendering owner found that she was slightly reactive to vehicles driving past (would bark at them). In typical puppy fashion, Aurora was known for chewing, getting into the trash, and counter-surfing. She was described as very friendly when it comes to meeting other dogs. However, when initially greeting, she was said to be overly enthusiastic. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new animals. Aurora was said to be a very smart girl and is looking for the right place to call home! If you are interested in meeting her, please let us know! 09/08/26 This cute pup is Aurora! Aurora arrived at the shelter as a stray and is hoping to find her place to call home! She shines bright like the aurora borealis and has a dazzling personality! She is definitely still a puppy and figuring out how to be her best self. She is looking for a patient owner who can continue her training. She may need some reminders with potty training and continued help with basic commands. She is young and full of potential! We do not know if she has experience with other children or other animals. It is important that introductions are made in a slow, safe, and controlled/neutral environment to help set her up for success. Aurora has been being treated for Giardia while at the shelter, but is feeling so much better! If you are interested in meeting Miss Aurora, please let us know!
