Cal- tiny but mighty

Cal is a loyal boy who is looking for a fresh start. He is currently with one of our partner rescues in Louisiana and can come to NJ with an approved foster or adopter.     Meet Cal — a tiny little guy with a big personality, a curious mind, and a seriously brave heart. Cal is believed to be a Miniature Pinscher mix, and when he first arrived, he was very skittish and unsure of the world around him. Since then, this sweet boy has made incredible progress. He has lived in a couple of foster homes, welcomed new foster dogs like a pro, and has even been wonderfully brave at adoption events with lots of unfamiliar people, sounds, and handling. Cal is playful, smart, curious, and highly motivated by treats. He would love a home where he can be your little sidekick—keeping watch over the house, supervising the daily routine, playing hard, and then curling up for a good snuggle. He gets along well with: • Small dogs • Playful puppies • Large dogs • Cats • Kids He has not yet been tested with toddlers. Cal is kennel trained and is still working on house-training consistency, so he’ll need a patient family willing to reinforce his routine as he settles in. A calmer home would likely be the best fit for Cal, but he is continuing to experience new situations and is handling them all so well. He is proof that brave comes in tiny packages. Could Cal be the little king of your castle?   Cal is fixed, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccines. His  adoption donation is $500.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
