Meet Winter — the sweetest cuddle bug you’ll ever meet Winter is a 1–2 year-old Boxer/Terrier mix, about 48 lbs, with a huge heart and so much love to give.Winter was found as a stray during last year’s winter storm while caring for her nine puppies. After being such a gentle, nurturing mama, it is finally her turn to be loved, spoiled, and chosen.She is incredibly affectionate and happiest when she is close to her people. If you sit down, expect lots of kisses and a snuggle buddy curled up right by your side. She loves sleeping in bed with you all night, cuddling in your lap, and being wherever her humans are.Winter is also smart, food-motivated, eager to please, and a great listener. She is potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, eats well, and settles in nicely at home. She has a playful side too and enjoys toys, ice cubes, exploring, and playing with other dogs and cats.Because she can get excited when playing, a home without very young children would be best. She does enjoy being around older children though and is very curious and playful with them. She may be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and bonds deeply.Winter is looking for a family who will give her the love she has always deserved. In return, she will be your loyal little shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your best friend.Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.
