Meet Merida!Like the Disney princess she's named after, Merida is a brave young lady with a gentle heart. This beautiful 1-year-old calico came to us when her owner could no longer care for her. Understandably, she arrived feeling shy and uncertain, but it didn't take long for us to see the sweet girl hiding beneath her reserved exterior.Merida isn't the type of cat who will march right up to greet every stranger. Instead, she's the kind of companion who takes a little time to get to know you. Offer her a few kind words and some gentle pets, and she'll begin to realize you're just as sweet as she is. Once you've earned her trust, Merida becomes positively brave, peeking her head out to ask for more attention and even rolling onto her side to soak up extra head scratches.She has lived with other cats in the past and gets along well with her feline friends. However, Merida has made it clear that dogs, big or small, are not part of her happily-ever-after, so she would do best in a dog-free home.If you're looking for a quiet, loving companion and are willing to give her the patience she deserves, Merida will reward you with a friendship that feels truly special.Could this sweet Disney princess be the newest member of your kingdom? Merida's adoption fee is $50, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption.Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful.
