Needs 501c3 non-profit rescue by 9/23/26 @ 5pm!!***Schatzie is an 8 month old shepherd/pittie mix who’s been waiting since July for someone to recognize his worth. This handsome young guy may have had a rough start in life, but he’s ready for a fresh start with someone who will show him just how good life can be. At 8 months old, he’s a high-energy, playful pup who loves toys, treats, and being around his person. He’s incredibly in tune with his human and pays attention to what’s going on around him, which gives him tons of potential to become a well-trained and devoted companion.He’s not reactive and is eager to engage with his person, making him a great candidate for someone who wants to continue building his confidence and teaching him all the good-dog skills. With consistency, positive reinforcement, and a little patience, Schatzie has the potential to absolutely thrive.He’s young, fun, affectionate, and full of life—and all he really needs is someone willing to give him the chance he deserves. Recently, we discovered he has Von Willebrand’s Disease, a blood clotting disorder caused by a deficiency in the von Willebrand factor protein. It sounds intimidating, but many dogs with mild forms live normal or near normal lifespans when kept safe from major injuries and unmanaged surgeries. What it really means is that Schatzie needs a guardian who understands his vulnerability and can give him the thoughtful care he deserves. He’s looking for a rescue willing to protect him, guide him, and give him the secure, loving environment he craves.
