Shiitake

Description

Meet Shiitake, a gorgeous long-haired girl who is discovering that the world is full of wonderful things — soft pets, cozy cuddles, fun toys, and humans who just might be pretty great after all. Shiitake came from a hoarding situation, and she's been on quite a journey learning that people can be friends. She's made wonderful progress and is growing more confident every day. She purrs often, loves being petted, and has mastered one of the most effective ways to request more attention: the adorable headbutt. If you stop petting before she's ready, don't be surprised if she gently bumps your hand to remind you that your services are still required. Sometimes if she is exceptionally happy, you get to see her glorious fluffy tummy! And when she's not soaking up affection, Shiitake has a playful side! Bring out something with strings and watch her curiosity kick in. She loves chasing string toys and showing off her fun, kitten-at-heart personality. This beautiful girl would be perfectly happy as your one-and-only feline companion, making her a wonderful choice for someone looking for a special cat to spoil. She could also do well with respectful older children who understand that building trust takes patience and kindness. As her confidence blossoms, so does her affectionate personality, and getting to be part of that transformation is a pretty special thing. She's beautiful, she's sweet, she's learning to love the good life, and she's ready for a home where she can continue to flourish at her own pace. If you're looking for a gorgeous, fluffy companion who will reward your kindness with purrs, headbutts, playful antics, and ever-growing affection, Shiitake might just be your perfect little mushroom. Come meet Shiitake and give this lovely girl the chance to put down roots and blossom! Shiitake has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, has had age appropriate vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and is litter trained.  If you are interested in adopting, apply on the Castaway Critters official website at https://www.castawaycritters.org/apply-to-adopt .
