Hi, I'm Charlie! I'm 5½ years old, and through no fault of my own, I'm urgently looking for a foster or forever home. I'm a loving, loyal, people-oriented guy who just wants to be close to my humans. I've lived with a young child and have been gentle, patient, and affectionate with kids. I'm potty trained, crate trained, know my basic manners, and I'm the kind of dog who's happiest curled up next to the people I love. I'm also good with other dogs, but I need slow introductions and a family willing to help me continue working on my resource guarding. With patience, consistency, and someone willing to invest in me, I know I can keep making progress. I'm also a little timid around loud noises, so I'd do best with people who understand that sometimes I just need reassurance. I do have very mild arthritis starting in my back legs and spine, but right now I just take Cosequin and keep enjoying life. I didn't expect to be looking for another home, but here I am. I'm hoping someone sees past my imperfections and gives me the chance I deserve. Every dog deserves a family that's willing to stick by them, and I promise I'll return that love tenfold.
