Description

Meet Kodi! He is a friendly, playful, affectionate male Great Pyrenees, around 9 months old. He is very sweet and well behaved for his age. Currently he's 63lbs but has potential to be 80-100lbs as he is still growing and has large paws.  Kodi is affectionate with people and no such thing as a stranger to Kodi. He has been taking trips to local fire station and has become very popular. He will lean against you, cuddle, or flop down for belly rubs. He does well with the older children in his foster home and loves playing with them. He is overall gentle for how young and big he is, but still energetic so small children and seniors should be mindful.  He is very playful and LOVES toys. Kodi did have to learn that shoes aren't toys when he first arrived. He has an appropriate level of playful energy followed by naps.  He is great with dogs - he enjoys playing, sleeping in same room, and meeting new dogs. If there isn't already a dog in his forever home, he would enjoy going to the dog park or getting dog playtime in. Initially he had some resource guarding with food but now does great eating meals in his crate and lining up with the other dogs for treats. Once he felt secure he no longer felt the need to protect his food.  Kodi is good with cats too, is respectful and even loves to play with the cat in his foster home. He does chase a little while playing, but never in an aggressive way.  He likes to bark at the garbage truck, and when the TV makes strange noises.  Kodi enjoys walks and overall is good on the leash but he will pull to say "Hi" to people and dogs. He enjoys car rides. He is house trained and will stand by back door to be let out. He is crate trained and uses it for meals and some nights, though he prefers to sleep in the bedroom with everyone. He is a very derpy, loving, goofy boy who loves to receive your affection. Any family would be lucky to have him.  Kodi is currently in a foster home in DFW area of Texas. Out of state adopters must arrange their own transportation. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $250.  Apply to adopt at www.spinrescue.org
