Freya (A125940) is a 10-year-and-7-month-old Siberian Husky who weighed 45 pounds on intake!09/21/26 This shy gal is Freya! Freya was returned to the shelter becaus, after her companion dog passed away, she became sad and a bit destructive. It was felt that Freya would really appreciate another doggy friend in her next home. It was stated that she does take time to warm up to new people, animals, and environments. She was stated to be kennel-trained and housebroken. If you are interested in meeting this sweet senior gal, please let us know!06/03/25 Freya is back at the shelter because her adoptive owners did not feel that they were a good fit for her. She was described as a shy but friendly pup! Freya was stated to be kennel trained, housebroken, and rides well in a car! She is an active girl that enjoys going out on adventures! When she is inside, she is often found lounging on the couch! Freya was said to do well with other dogs and cats. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with new animals to set her up for success and keep in mind that huskies are known for having a high prey drive. If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl, please let us know! 01/16/25 This beautiful lady is Freya! Freya was surrendered back to the shelter due to no fault of her own. She was described as a shy but friendly girl who has done great with strangers and adults but has no history around babies and children. Freya was surrendered with her doggy friend Dutchess and was said to do great with dogs but has no experience around cats, pocket pets, or livestock. While in their care, they said she was housebroken, pad trained, and rides well in a car. She was said to LOVE to play outdoors but was known to be a digger. If you are interested in meeting Freya, please let us know! 02/26/22 This stunning gal is Frigg! She is a super friendly gal that enjoys her time outside running around in the snow. We do not have much info about her history prior to coming to the shelter. We do know however that she has lived her life outdoors. We do not believe she has any house manners, and is most likely not housebroken at this time. While Frigg has been here she has been very outgoing and loves to get attention from her animal tenders. She has a decent appetite, but will turn down food if she is full. Frigg would likely be a great partner for skijoring, and may also be a good sled dog. Siberians of course are known to run, so she must be on leash or contained at all times so she does not end up as a stray. If you are interested in turning her into an indoor/outdoor dog, she will need all the training as if she were a puppy. Frigg appears to like the company of other dogs as well.
