Lexi Is Back at the Shelter and Ready to Meet Her Forever Family!Lexi Bio UpdateLexi has been fostered since March 10th. Fortunately, fostering has made a positive difference as Lexi awaits her furever home.During first two weeks of my fostering she constantly hid behind or under a chair slowly adapting to the changes. To be sure she gained weight I would give Lexi her wet food meals where she was hiding. Accommodating her needs worked to start her eating and feeling safe.Lexi now wanders further from her bedroom feeling safe, takes naps, rolls around on her back, has favorite various spots and looks out the windows.Once she eats, her favorite way to spend time is lots of pets, brushing and hopping in my lap for a nap purring away. From time to time Lexi will even allow a belly rub with my hand or brush. Lexi gives kitty kisses to show her appreciation with her little pink tongue. The best situation for Lexi to start out is in a single room giving her space to wander and hide during her anxious moments. Her furever family should offer a quiet environment and not include children or dogs.Lexi has become the lap queen luxuriating in peaceful naps while purring away. I have been showing her videos for cats on my iPhone while in my lap which she watches with full concentration. When it is time for me to remove Lexi from my lap she will meow wondering WHY????I think Lexi would like a cat buddy that hopefully would be a very calm loving fur baby who will not mistreat Lexi.Lexi has constantly used the extra large open litter box with unscented Tidy Cat. The reason I use the extra large litter box is because being a bit bigger cat she just needs more room. A girl has to have what a girl has to have!Hope this note has pulled someoneâs heart strings so Lexi can be adopted into her furever home full of love & patience.Lexi is now back at the shelter and ready to meet the person who will give her the peaceful, loving home she deserves.
