LIL PEEP NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Lil Peep Best Guess for Breed: Dachshund and terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of April 2026 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 21 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Watch this video of Lil Peep discovering how fun toys are in his new foster home! Special Considerations: Lil Peep is shy - he needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes. Lil Peep is Looking For: His forever home! This young boy is eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he's storing up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Is he the one you see by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Lil Peep is an exceptionally affectionate, emotionally intuitive, and people-oriented dog. He forms very strong bonds with his person and loves physical closeness, cuddling, kisses, and companionship. Once he feels safe with someone, he becomes very loving, loyal, and attached. He can be easily startled by unfamiliar sights and sounds. He will do best with a canine sibling and patient owners who understand that he is a sensitive dog who needs time and encouragement while adjusting. Heartworm information: Lil Peep is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Lil Peep has completed this activity restriction period. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.
