Matilda is a 7-month-old, 7-pound Chiweenie with a personality as adorable as her little face! Matilda was born without a kneecap on her right back leg, which gives her a pretty unique way of getting around. She runs a little funny—almost like she has a peg leg—but don't let that fool you! She can still use the leg for support and balance, and her leg doesn't slow her down one bit! Because she has figured out how to use it and gets around just fine, the best plan is to leave her leg as it is. When Matilda first arrived in rescue, she was a little shy, but she has really come out of her shell. She is now a happy, friendly little pup who is ready to find a family of her own! Matilda's leg certainly doesn't define her. She loves being a puppy and is ready to play, explore, and enjoy life just like any other pup. She would do great in almost any type of home or apartment. If you're looking for a sweet, happy little girl with a unique personality and an adorable little waddle, Matilda is ready to meet you! ❤️ Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more) - not just until her puppy cuteness wears off. You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Like most puppies, she may chew on anything within her reach to include but not limited to baseboards, shoes, socks, children's toys, electrical cords, plants, etc. Her adoption fee is $200. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccinations, Bravecto®, Drontal® Plus, Tri-Heart® Plus Chewable Tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references.
