Lucas is a 1-year-old, 45-pound Schnauzer/Poodle mix—although, truthfully, we're 100% guessing on the breed mix! Whatever his DNA says, one thing is certain: this boy is a whole lot of fun! Lucas has an abundance of energy and is looking for a loving, active family that can keep up with him. One of his favorite things in the entire world is laying in the water trough! If there is water around, you can pretty much count on Lucas finding it and making himself comfortable. This energetic guy is house broken, knows how to use the dog door, and does great in his kennel. He would also be an excellent candidate for someone looking for a future agility dog. He is athletic, energetic, and would love having a job to do and something new to learn! Lucas would absolutely love a playful canine sibling who wants to wrestle, run, and burn off some energy with him. He gets along with people of all sizes and even did great with the cats at the vet clinic! Lucas is looking for a family that enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a fun-loving dog who can be their adventure buddy. And after all that activity, don't be surprised if he decides the water trough is the perfect place to relax! If you're looking for an energetic, playful pup with tons of potential and a love for both adventure and water, Lucas is ready to make a splash in your life! ❤️ Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $300. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org.
