Lucia is a 3-year-old, 10-pound Yorkie mix who is as sweet and snuggly as they come! And just so you know, although she has some Yorkie in her, Lucia does shed a little. This little girl does take a hot second to warm up to new people, so her new family will need to give her a few days to a week to settle in and feel comfortable. Once she realizes she is safe and loved, her sweet and snuggly personality really starts to shine! Lucia is already a great little housemate. She is house broken, knows how to use the dog door, and does great in her crate. She also does well with other dogs. When Lucia first came into rescue with her three puppies, she was understandably very protective of them, but now that her mama duties are behind her, she's ready to enjoy being someone's spoiled little girl! Lucia would be happy living in either a home or an apartment, and she could be perfectly content as your one and only dog or with another canine companion. If you're looking for a sweet little snuggle buddy who just needs a little time to get comfortable, Lucia may be your girl! Give her a few days to settle in, and you'll have a loving little companion ready to soak up all the attention. ❤️ Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $250. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references.
