Jalapeno & Pimento

Description

Belle Peppers: Jalapeno and Pimento are 4.5 month old sisters, rescued on Coney Island. Both are spayed, vaccinated and ready for adoption. Jalapeno is a Torbi, a combo of tabby and tortoise-shell colors, and weighs a little over 5lbs. Tabby stripes and patches of orange are complemented by a white chest and ankle socks. Dramatic Cleopatra-like black markings swoop from the corners of her amber eyes across her cheeks. A saucy grey smudge on her nose provides comic relief to her classical beauty. Despite her name, Jalapeno is not in the least spicy and enjoys humans. She loves getting pets, especially strokes along her back and tail and belly scratches. She’ll frequently be found sitting next to her human caregiver. While very much a little lady, she’s a good eater and loves playing with a bird feather toy and playing hide and seek in a down comforter with her littermates. She’s very polite and keeps herself and her litter mates very clean. She has a funny habit of covering her food dish once she’s finished eating. If she had a napkin, she’d use it.  Pimento: Jalapeno’s sister is 100% tabby and has a delicate face and petite head and body. She weighs about 4.5 lbs and the same black cheek markings as her sister. A keen observer of all around her, Pimento particularly enjoys looking out the window and gets very excited when a fly lands on the screen. She adores playing with the bird feather toy and the ball tower and exploring her climbing tower and the tops of bookshelves. Pimento never met a pillow she didn’t want to sit on and loves snuggling in the folds of a comforter. Pimento will rough and tumble with her bigger siblings but hangs back at meal time to let them eat first. Though shyer than Jalapeno, she's making huge progress in trusting humans. She likes to have a quiet spot to retreat and just recently has started accepting small gentle pets.
