Meet Penny! Penny was born on September 30, 2025, and is a beautiful, athletic girl weighing about 56 pounds. She came to us after being surrendered to the Hesperia shelter when she found her way into a neighbor’s yard and helped herself to their cat food. Apparently, Penny appreciates a good snack! Penny previously lived with kids and other dogs and loves being close to her people. In fact, this 56-pound girl is pretty convinced she belongs in your lap! She is affectionate, active, and loves to run, making her a great match for someone looking for a companion to share adventures with. More than anything, Penny wants to bond with her person and be part of a family. She does chase cats, so a cat-free home would be the best fit for her.
