Description

Spring has sprung... and she's ready to bloom in her forever home!Meet Spring, a beautiful 1-year-old Border Collie mix with a gentle heart and an easygoing personality. Spring joined us from our friends at MABCR and has quickly proven herself to be a sweet, affectionate girl who never meets a stranger. While some Border Collies are constantly looking for a job to do, Spring is much more of a "house collie" who enjoys being close to her people and taking life at a comfortable pace.Spring gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has been friendly with every canine companion she's met. She's not particularly interested in roughhousing or playing all day, preferring instead to quietly hang out, observe the world around her, and soak up attention from her favorite people. That said, she does have playful bursts of energy and enjoys spending quality time with her family. This lovely girl is well-mannered, walks nicely on a leash, appears to be house-trained, and responds well to simple, positive training methods. She's eager to please and enjoys learning, making her an easy companion to live with. We also think she would do well in a home with children who can appreciate her calm and affectionate nature. Now for Spring's one big rule: absolutely no cats! Spring takes neighborhood cat patrol a little too seriously. If she spots a cat while on leash, she'll keep a close eye on it. If she's off leash, it's game on. While she doesn't seem interested in hurting them, she thinks chasing cats is the most exciting activity around and is very determined when she sees one. Because of this, Spring needs a cat-free home and would not be a good match for a household where cats regularly wander through the yard.If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who would rather relax by your side than spend all day herding sheep, Spring might just be the perfect fit. She has the beauty and intelligence of a Border Collie paired with a calm, affectionate personality that's sure to win hearts wherever she goes. ❤️Spring's adoption fee is $175, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
