Meow meet Abbott! Abbott is a handsome two year old tabby boy whose story is filled with love, loss, and a whole lot of heart. Abbott and his brother, Costello, were adopted as young kittens and were loved beyond measure. They had a wonderful home and a couple who adored them. When their dad suddenly passed away, the boys and their mom had to navigate a heartbreaking loss together. They comforted one another and continued on together. Sadly, their mom recently passed away too, and now Abbott and Costello have found themselves at the rescue, trying to understand how their whole world changed so quickly. After losing the people he loved and the home he knew, it would be understandable if Abbott had become withdrawn. Instead, his sweet, loving, gentle personality is still very much there. Abbott loves being loved! He enjoys being held, petted, and spending time with people, and he still has a playful side that comes out when it’s time for some fun. He gets along wonderfully with people and is the kind of cat who simply wants to feel close to someone again. Although Abbott and Costello have shared so much together, they are not bonded and can be adopted separately. Abbott has lost the family he knew, but he hasn’t lost his capacity to love. Somewhere out there is a new family who can give this sweet boy a place to feel cherished again - a home where he can be loved, held, spoiled, and simply be the wonderful cat he has always been!
