Description

Small dog, big opinions, and a heart full of love. Teddy Bear is ready to be the king of his very own castle. Meet Teddy Bear!Teddy Bear is a 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This handsome little guy was found as a stray outside a Walmart in Georgia and eventually made his way to us in need of some serious dental care. After receiving the dental surgery he desperately needed, Teddy Bear is feeling much better and is ready to find a loving forever home of his own.Despite being a senior dog, Teddy Bear still has plenty of spunk left! He enjoys going for walks, playing with squeaky toys, and keeping an eye on everything happening around him. During his time with us, Teddy has shown that he may be small, but he certainly thinks he's mighty.Teddy Bear has been around cats and seemed to do well. He gets excited when he sees them but has not shown any negative reactions. He would also do well with respectful children who understand how to interact with an older dog. When it comes to other dogs, Teddy Bear has made it clear that he would prefer to be the only canine in the home. During his dog assessment, he showed us that he likes having all the attention to himself, so we are looking for a dog-free home where he can truly shine.Currently, Teddy Bear is eating a wet food diet while he continues to recover from his dental procedure. Once he is fully healed, he should be able to enjoy hard food again. If you're looking for a loyal companion with plenty of personality, a playful spirit, and lots of love to give, Teddy Bear may be the perfect match for you! ❤️Teddy Bear's adoption fee is $150, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive!
