Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it.  ROXIE UPDATE Sept 11 2026: Hi, I'm back at my foster mom's in DDR! I'm still trying to figure out where I belong :( I'm very happy at my foster mom's house, lots of other dachshunds my age to run chase and play with, a big fenced yard to explore and hunt rabbits, squirrels, birds, there are even deer and geese on the other side of the fence! My foster mom gets up before the sun comes up so I am used to getting up early, having fun and then kenneling up when my foster mom goes to work. As soon as she gets home we all spend a lot of time enjoying the outdoors. At my foster mom's I always keep my kennel clean, I sleep in a big kennel with lots of room and soft blankets. I've had 6 homes now, the next one I pray will be the perfect one for me I'm a wirehair dachshund, full of love and life once I get to know you. I was treated badly in one of my previous homes so it takes me a few days to feel comfortable in a new place, my second home big dogs beat me up so it takes me a couple days to feel safe around even other little dogs. But once I settle in and know I am safe, whoa, I love playing and having fun. Do you have extra love and patience and another dachshund to play with me? I am 2 years young, I weigh 10 pounds, my adoption fee is $400 plus sales tax $18=$418Hi! I'm Roxi. I am a sweet and very active dachsie girl. I came to Dakota Dachshund Rescue as I have a very strong prey drive and was injuring chickens on the farm.My family loved me but found very quickly I was born to hunt so being a farm dog was not a good thing! I need a strong pack leader and a secure physically fenced yard to keep me safe!I have a very high prey drive and will chase chickens, rabbits, squirrels, cats, anything that moves fast!I am doing well with my house training. I get along with most other dogs my size. Do you have an open spot for a sweet girl like me?
