Meet Nala — A Sweet Senior Looking for a Quiet Place to Call HomeNala is a beautiful 10-year-old pitty mix who has spent her life knowing the comfort of a home. Sadly, her owner can no longer keep her, and this sweet older girl is having a very difficult time adjusting.Nala is currently very scared and shut down in the shelter environment. She doesn’t understand why everything familiar has suddenly changed, and she desperately needs someone willing to give her time, patience, and a peaceful place to decompress. Behind those worried eyes is a sweet senior girl who deserves to feel safe again.Nala is a larger girl with a gorgeous black coat and white markings, and she is spayed. She doesn’t seem to mind sharing her space with other dogs, though we would always recommend slow, thoughtful introductions. We’re not sure yet how she feels about cats.For her golden years, we believe Nala would thrive in a quiet, calm home where she can settle in at her own pace. Older, respectful children would likely be the best fit rather than a busy household with lots of activity.Nala doesn’t need anything fancy. She just needs someone who will look past her fear, give her a soft place to land, and remind her that she is still loved.Ten years is far too long to have lived without knowing how special you are. Nala deserves to spend her golden years feeling safe, cherished, and home.
