Description
Hi, Iâm Sophia. Iâm 9 years old, a Domestic Shorthair Torbie, and Iâm hoping that my story finally has a happy ending. You see, Iâve had to say goodbye more times than any kitty should. About six years ago, my person became very sick and had to leave our home to receive treatment. I didnât understand where they went or why they werenât coming back. I was left alone for many months, with only occasional visits from someone checking on me. I was lonely. I was scared. And eventually, I found myself at the shelter, where the kind staff cared for me and helped me through that difficult time.I thought maybe my life was going to change for the better. I hoped I had finally found my person. But years later, I found myself facing that same heartbreak again. My owner left the place where we lived and didnât take me with them. Thankfully, a kind person made sure I made it safely to the shelter, where I am being cared for once again. So here I am. A little older. A little more cautious. And, if Iâm being honest⦠a little afraid to believe that this time might really be different. The people here have been very patient with me. Theyâve given me time to feel safe, and theyâve discovered that behind my shy exterior is a wonderfully sweet girl who really just wants to be loved. I may not run up and greet you like Iâve never known fear. Instead, I might take my time. I might watch you quietly and wonder if youâre someone I can trust. But if you give me that time, I think youâll discover something beautiful: I still have so much love in my heart. The staff here keep telling me that third timeâs a charm. Iâm trying very hard to believe them. What I want isnât complicated. I want a quiet, loving home where I can feel safe. I want someone who will be patient while I learn that I donât have to worry about being left behind again. I want a soft place to sleep, a gentle hand to pet me, and a person who will look at me and say, âYouâre home now, Sophia. Youâre staying.âIâm 9 years old, and Iâve already spent too much of my life wondering where I belong.Iâm hoping my forever family is out there somewhere.Maybe theyâre you.Iâm ready to try again. I just need someone willing to give a sweet, shy girl the chance to finally come home. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial feline distemper combination vaccination- first deworming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption Cost: $50.00FELV/FIV testing can be done for additional $35.00.
