Description
Owner surrender. Bri came into rescue when the original owner had a death in the family and they were no longer able to care for her. She was fairly neglected. They said she was 5, our vet aged her closer to 8 or 9 Notes from our vet: Physical Exam Findings: Severe dental disease with mobile teeth (including 404), deep pocketing (304, 404), gingival recession, and furcation exposure Thin hair coat with significant hair loss on ears, feet, and hind limbs Healing scabs near the base of the tail Enlarged vulva Grade 1/4 luxating patella (loose kneecap) Nuclear sclerosis (age-related cloudiness of the lenses) Full anal sacs Diagnoses and Conditions: Severe Periodontal Disease Alopecia (Hair Loss) Grade 1/4 Patellar Luxation Flea Infestation (historic) Treatments Administered in Clinic: Spay (ovariohysterectomy) surgery Anal gland expression Dental cleaning and assessment Multiple tooth extractions, including: Three upper incisors One premolar Tooth 404 Teeth 106 and 107 ********************* She took a couple of days to decompress, then, suddenly, started experiencing digestive issues. Diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy.... this girl was SICK. We immediately took her to our amazing veterinarian where she did labs, and a comprehensive exam. Bri was experiencing severe pancreatitis. 3 days of hospitalization and treatment, she stabilized. Bri is on low fat (Rx) food. SHE MUST NEVER GET TABLE SCRAPS! Bri has made a full recovery! and is ready to be your lap baby.
