Hippo (JAX)

Description

Meet Jax, our handsome 3-year-old boy with a big personality, plenty of energy, and a serious love for belly rubs!Jax is an active guy who is always ready for playtime, walks, and adventures. He loves being around people and soaking up attention, and once the excitement settles down, he’s more than happy to roll over for some belly rubs and cuddles. One major bonus? Jax is completely house trained! He keeps his kennel clean and has had no accidents. He does get excited on walks and can be a strong puller, so he’ll need someone willing to continue working with him on his leash manners. With consistency and training, we think he has so much potential. When it comes to other dogs, Jax would do best with a female dog. A meet and greet would still be important to make sure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good match. In his previous home, Jax seemed to respond better to the male in the household. He can be a strong-willed boy, he likes women, he just does better when his women are confident, consistent, and comfortable setting boundaries. Jax is definitely the type who will figure out pretty quickly what he can get away with, so he needs someone who won’t let those puppy-dog eyes convince them that the rules suddenly don’t apply.Underneath that big personality is a sweet, affectionate boy who has so much love to give. Jax just needs the right person who understands him and can give him the structure, activity, and attention he needs to thrive. If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion with plenty of personality, Jax might just be your guy!Interested in adopting?
