He enjoys people and is absolutely social, but he does not need constant attention to feel secure. Simba is the kind of cat who appreciates companionship while also enjoying his own space and routine. He may be a great fit for someone who wants a friendly adult cat who is not attached at the hip. In foster care, Simba has shown that he may prefer a calmer environment with fewer cats. He has been living in a busy foster home with multiple feline roommates and has handled many changes, but we think a quieter home may help him truly settle into his best self. Simba and Alfie spend time together and could be considered as a pair, but Simba may also do well as a single cat with the right person. Simba is currently being monitored for a stress-related urinary issue. Peter Zippi is working with our veterinary team and trying a low-dose medication plan to support him for now. It is very possible his needs may change once he is in a calmer home with fewer cats. Friendly, confident, and quietly independent, Simba is ready for someone who will appreciate him for exactly who he is.
