Description

Hi everyone, it's nice to meet you! My name is Fudge! I am a 6 month old, neutered male, gray tabby, domestic shorthair cat. I'm currently on the smaller size as I am still a young boy and am growing steadily into adulthood. I am a gentle and sweet soul who is still finding my way in this big, beautiful and sometimes scary world. I'm on the shyer side and am quite cautious when it comes to new people and environments, but with patience (and treats!), I slowly come out of my shell. I have both a cozy and playful side to me. Sometimes this looks like me purring happily away as you scratch my cheek and chin and sometimes it looks like me darting quickly to try to catch my fave. feather toy! Either way, I'll be happy as long as I'm with someone who understands me. :) With all of this in mind, my ideal home would be a cat savvy, experienced household with kids no younger than the age of 10 and who are willing to provide me with space and comfort as I acclimate and grow into myself and my new future home. If you think this could be you, then come on down to the shelter and ask for more information about me. I'll be waiting!- Fudge ID#A0989037 08/06/26 09:26 WENT TO VISIT FUDGE THE OTHER DAY. ON APPROACH CAME UP TO FRONT OF THE KENNEL FOR TREATS. WE WORKED ON TOUCH AGAIN, WHICH HE SEEMED TO BE GETTING EVEN BETTER AT AND COMING FORWARD FOR TREATS. I AM ABLE TO PLACE TREATS DOWN FOR HIM AND PET HIS NECK/DOWN HIS BACK WHILE HE EATS. ONCE HE'S DONE EATING, HE WILL BACK UP AND DOES NOT SEEM SUPER INTO RECIEVING PETS. SEEMS TO BE SLIGHTLY MORE COMFORTABLE WITH APPROACHING. WORK IN PROGRESS. ACL 08/12/26 14:59 NERVOUS ON APPROACH BUT BEGAN TAKING TREATS RIGHT AWAY AT THE FRONT OF THE KENNEL. I CALLED HIM FORWARD AND HE WAS SLIGHTLY UNSURE OF PETS AT FIRST, BUT THEN BEGAN LEANING IN FOR MORE PETS. WILL SEE HOW HE DOES DURING THE REST OF THE WEEK WITH THE VOLUNTEERS AND UPDATE NOTES ON FRI. ACL 08/14/26 16:16 WARMED UP AND BEGAN LEANING IN FOR PETS AND WAS PURRING. WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR VOL’S REPORTS OF HOW HE IS DOING WITH THEM AND UPDATE NOTES NEXT WEEK. ACL 08/19/26 13:49 WENT TO VISIT FUDGE TODAY AND HE WAS A LITTLE BIT NERVOUS BUT SWEET AND BEGAN LEANING IN FOR PETS. HE IS REPORTING TO BE DOING WELL WITH THE VOLUNTEERS AS WELL. OKAY TO PUFA. HE IS A SENSITIVE BOY THAT CAN BE A BIT SHY/UNSURE AT FIRST AND NEEDS TIME TO WARM UP. HE WOULD DO BEST WITH AN ADOPTED WITH SOME EXP THAT WILL BE ABLE TO GO SLOW WITH HIM. SINCE HE CAN BE A BIT NERVOUS AT FIRST, HE WOULD DO BEST WITH CAT SAVVY 10+ THAT WILL BE ABLE TO GIVE HIM SPACE WHILE HE IS ACCLIMATING TO A NEW ENVIORNMENT. HE WILL DO BEST IN A CONDO OR A BOTTOM CAGE SINCE HE CAN BE UNSURE ABOUT BEING TRANSPORTED. ACL
